Allder Group - Glass & Locks

Commercial Services

We are dealers for Smart Systems who manufacture high quality commercial doors, screens and shop fronts. Standard specification includes anti-finger trap stiles, concealed transom closers and security hook locks. We can fit additional locks to them keying alike and factory fit electric strike/release to connect to your existing access control system, or supply and fit one from scratch, with or without video.

We are also able to supply curtain walling, either for new projects or replacement of existing damaged.

We are the preferred supplier of one of the UK's largest commercial landlord. Being able to manufacture replacement doors and windows with minimal delay has to be part of the reason this relationship continues to flourish. When one of their tenants suffers a break in it is of paramount importance that the business is affected for the shortest possible time.

We are able to hang temporary doors if required whilst new are being manufactured and fit temporary double glazed units if there is going to be a significant delay in obtaining the exact glass type. Our extensive experience in the commercial sector has enabled us to build up a significant library of glass samples.

Unfortunately glass manufacturers such as Pilkington, Saint-Gobain, Guardian and Glaverbel to name a few do dis-continue glass types on a fairly regular basis but our library can help us identify glass types quickly, even if it does mean that its obsolete, allowing us to get the issue resolved as soon as possible.

We are also able to replace failed or broken glazing in Planar and Structual Glazing Systems. Planar are a particular type of bolted glazing system generally found in Atriums. The glass is mounted on stainless steel brackets with countersunk holes drilled through the glass. This method of bolting glass is also found in canopy glazing. Structual glazing is when the glass is bonded into the frames directly or sometimes on carriers. These are sometimes secured with toggles that lock into the spacer bar, such as Schuco, and then silicone jointed together.
