Allder Group - Glass & Locks

About the Allder Group

2010 saw us achieve ISO 14001 and 18001. These are the internationally recognized standard for environmental procedures and health and safety.

These latest accreditations are a perfect compliment to our ISO 9001 achieved some years ago. All of our glaziers are NVQ qualified and although we are a Police Approved Contractor, for your complete peace of mind we also underwent full CRB (enhanced) screening of all our staff.

This conscientious approach to the high standard we demand have come to the attention of Tesco resulting in them inviting us to partner up with them in their new Tesco Home services product, launching in Reading and Newbury in July 2011

Our "Price Match Guarantee"

In this tough economic climate we appreciate that price is under scrutiny. We also believe, possibly in an old fashioned way, that the quality of service and materials is of equal importance. Whilst we are no way prepared to compromise with the quality of our service, team or materials installed we are willing to try and match any written like for like quote.

Should you wish to discuss this or any other matter please feel free to do so on either 0800 999 5599, free from landlines or 0330 999 5599, generally included in your mobiles free call package.

Alternatively you can email: info@glass247.co.uk or info@locks247.co.uk

We are also proud sponsors for the Wokingham May Fayre, put on in support of local charities by The Lions Club. Our chosen charities are Multiple Sclerosis Society and Help for Heroes.

Job Management System

We have heavily invested in a bespoke electronic job management system. Originally created to reduce time hunting down paperwork in the office we soon realized the potential to make use of it in other areas.

As a result the original "blue print" of one sheet of A4 paper with a flow chart has now become something a little more complex with something like 200 screens. It requires the engineer to take at least "before" and "after" photographs but allows lots more when required. It also forces a number of other questions to be answered which we have found a massive time and therefore cost saving, eliminating orders being wrong or having to go back to site to answer queries.

It enables us to track the progress of all our engineers whether travelling to site or just arrived, to be in progress of the work or having completed it. Finally we then are able to get the name and signature, time stamped, of the site contact electronically. This is all displayed and colour coded on an electronic diary where our support team can react to the status of the job immediately, ordering parts, sending out quotes and invoices or receipts straight away. Our engineers are also able to order parts themselves from their PDA’s which again ensures efficiency, minimising delay.

We were lucky enough to work with a number of facility companies and with their help continued to develop the system. Listening to their comments we found that a big part of their day was spent chasing around contractors for updates.

We created our "automatic email update" in answer. This allows us to include un-limited email addresses for the main account and or the specific site in question. This then transmits an email(s) to the client with the complete job sheet advising of what has been done, materials used, action required still (if any), any photographs taken and the signature.

This facility has been applauded by many FM's allowing someone sat in an office in Glasgow, deploying a contractor to an urgent job in London, to simultaneously see them complete the job as an email pops onto their screen, giving all that information.
